I've driven by this place and thought about stopping a number of times. We finally did. And now I have my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. For starters, the salsa is homemade, fresh and delicious with a nice kick. Bottled salsa can't compete with the fresh stuff. Ditto for the guacamole. I had the chicken fajitas and was pleasantly surprised that the chicken was freshly grilled, not done last week and reheated. My companion had the chile relleno and said it was very good. They could do better with two things. The margaritas are made with a mix albeit with plenty of tequila. And the tortillas are run of the mill grocery store fare and too small to serve with fajitas. But the pros beat the cons and we will definitely be back.

Now that I have been here a couple of times I feel like its time for a review. The first time I was here I probably would have given it a four star review based on that experience. I was blown away by the salsa (I still love it) and I had a really good meal. I tried the spicy burrito and I was pleased on how spicy it was. Most of these mexican-american restaurants have very little spice in the food - but this one actually had a good kick. Since that first experience it just never got back to that again. The margs were always about the same - average. I tired a couple other items big chicken burrito, carnitas, among a couple other things and nothing really impressed me. Salsa is still amazing and their chorizo queso dip is pretty solid as well. So other than that extra kick i got from my first meal, none of the entrees really make me want to go back. I have to say I get some of the best service here and I really like the decor as well. Ever since they moved this new location i think suits them well. I just want a little more with my mexican food.

We come here quite often and have no complaints. They are very accommodating and friendly. It's a great place for the kids . The service is quick and you don't have to worry about kids getting bored while waiting for the food. The chips and salsa keeps them busy. The prices are very good also.

Great food, pleasant staff, reasonably priced. Salsa was okay and thought chips were a bit burned tasting but the meal was worth it.

Excellent salsa, waitress was fantastic. The kids lived the balloon animal artist who was there. Great experience, if we are in Canton again we will be back.

I rate this as a Hispanic who grew up in the south. With that said. I rate this in comparison with all Mexican restaurants I've tried in Ohio for the past 9 years. This establishment has the cuisine pretty much down pat. I admit, I was hesitant to eat here. The name is just so Americanized that I thought there was no way the food could be even close to what I expect it to be. Loved it! A true gem here. I have only eaten here one... But I loved the green chicken enchiladas! Their refried beans are on spot and their Mexican rice is actually made correctly! I will be visiting here a lot more. Warm house made tostadas and salsa served as soon as you are seated gets the meal started right! No tostitos here, and no premade taco shells. Tacos are made correctly in a fried tortilla! So if you are like me and haven't found anything in the area that produces as close to authentic Mexican food as possible... Look no further! This place has it!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
